Common Questions

Programme Information

Find answers to frequently asked questions about our robotics programmes, requirements, and what to expect.

What age groups do you cater for?
Our programmes are designed for students aged 12 and above. We offer different tracks suitable for secondary school students, university students, and adult learners. Each programme is tailored to the appropriate skill level and learning objectives for different age groups.
Do I need any prior experience in robotics or programming?
No prior experience is required for our Foundation programme. We start with the basics and build up systematically. For Advanced and Professional programmes, we recommend some familiarity with basic programming concepts, but we provide assessment and catch-up support as needed.
What equipment and materials are provided?
All programmes include access to robotics kits, sensors, microcontrollers, and development tools during sessions. Foundation students receive a starter kit to take home, whilst Advanced and Professional students get more comprehensive development kits. All safety equipment and workshop tools are provided.
How are the programmes structured throughout the term?
Each term runs for 12 weeks with regular weekly sessions. Foundation programmes meet for 2 hours weekly, Advanced for 3 hours, and Professional programmes offer flexible scheduling. Each session includes theory, hands-on practice, and project work. Terms align with the Finnish academic calendar.
What qualifications or certificates will I receive?
Upon successful completion, students receive a certificate of completion recognised across the EU. Advanced and Professional programme graduates also receive a comprehensive portfolio of their projects and achievements, which is valuable for university applications and career development in STEM fields.
